the picture is a thousand words

tracy fisher

Born in Laguna Beach, CA in 1964, Tracy Fisher moved to Gig Harbor, WA in 1966, bringing her love for art with her. Paint brushes and crayons in hand, she saw the world as her canvas. From paint lessons by local artist Nancy Weaver at age 10 to large gallery style canvases at age 40, her style of painting has touched many lives. Tracy paints acrylic on canvas using "words" preserved as unique art.

The motive behind her work is her story. Even though art was her passion, Tracy graduated from Washington State University in 1997 with a degree in Child And Family Studies. She now helps bring young cancer patients and their parents together by painting words of love. Words touch lives, words heal and words recall specific memories.

And now, in addition to her work with children, Tracy is weaving her magic wordsmithing into family "portraits". Through discussions and interactions with her clients, she creates stunning visual images that are instant heirlooms, destined to be passed through the family for years to come.
